Shabbat Blessings, as we do them at Aleph Bet

First we light the candles--
We circle once for ourselves and once for our family and one more time for all of humanity and then close your eyes…Baruch ata Adonai, Eloheynu melech ha-olam. asher kid-shanu b'mitzvotav, b'mitzvotav, v'tzivanu v'tzivanu l'hadlik ner. V'tzivanu, v'tzivanu l'hadlik ner. V'tzivanu, v'tzivanu l'hadlik ner, ner shel Shabbat.

Translation: I praise Adonai, who is Lord and Ruler over all, for teaching us the commandment of greeting the Shabbat by lighting the candles.
Then we drink the wine (juice)--
Baruch ata Adonai, Eloheynu melech ha-olam, borey p'ri ha-gafen.

Translation: I praise Adonai, who is Lord and Ruler over all, for creating the grapes of the vine.
Then we bless the challah--
HaMotzi lehem min ha-aretz. We give thanks to G-d for bread, our voices rise in song together as our joyful prayer is said. Baruch ata Adonai, Eloheynu melech ha-olam,ha-motzi lehem min ha-aretz. Amen.
